ABOUT
KAYLA JANE
I’ve always been attracted to different ways of making my mind and body stronger - thus, my love for movement started at a young age - being a triple sport athlete during the school year and competing in triathlons in the summers brought me joy and kept me challenged.
My enthusiasm and dedication to basketball earned me the opportunity to play for Montana State University and I happily played there for three years (2011-2014 seasons) and at Montana Tech for one year (2014-2015 season). I broke the navicular bone in my right foot while I was at MSU and I have that injury to thank for shaping who I am to this day and the path that I’ve walked since - injuries have a way of humbling you.
My true “experience” working in the movement industry started 9 years ago - teaching Yoga & Pilates all over Missoula, MT until I completed my undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance from UM. Upon starting my small family, we moved to Butte in 2018 where I truly hit the ground running with KJP. Fast forward 5 years…my kids and I just moved back to Missoula. KaylaJane Pilates still lives on, but I now teach private clients and group classes out of the two Peak Health & Wellness locations (downtown and racquet club) and film classes for KJP On Demand members.
When I’m not teaching Pilates, I’m spending every minute I can with my two young daughters (Kennedy 6, Lennon 4), working in marketing & communications for an MT nonprofit, getting outside as much as possible - hiking, fishing, biking, etc. Loving on our goldendoodle…Olive, trying out new recipes and reading.
